It is getting warmer outside, and that means it is almost time for baseball! The junior high baseball team is starting to practice. Their first four games have been due to weather.
“My experience has been good. I enjoy working with the team to help them become better baseball players as well as better young men,” Matt Brown, junior high head coach, stated. Coach Brown has been coaching the junior high team for three years, but he’s been coaching baseball for 15 years.
There are no set captains yet for this season. They have thirteen games this season. Their first two games have been cancelled due to the weather.
“I think we will be successful from a wins and losses standpoint. But the biggest goal is to get better every time we step on the field. If we do that, good things will happen,” Coach Brown said. They plan on having a successful season with all of their wins and losses. Right now, they are still mostly practicing indoors, but soon they will be outdoors almost every day.
