This year, selected eighth grade students took the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) test.
The NAEP is a test that randomly selects students for each year. Usually, it is fourth grade, eighth grade, and twelfth grade.
“It’s only our eighth graders who are taking it this year. But across the country, they’ll compile how our school does on these two exams, and compare us to other schools and how we’re doing educationally,” Mr. Jeff Griffith, middle school principal, stated.
Additionally to getting selected, the eighth graders did not have to prepare or study for this test. The NAEP test has provided much needed results to improve education. The test has been giving meaningful information since 1969, and results are available for the NAEP test.
