The middle school play, “After Hours,” was held on Friday, March 27, at the middle school. Ms. Amanda Hryckowian and Ms. Laura Miller direct the play. The cast consists of students in grades 5-7. No 8th-graders tried out this year. There are a lot of returning cast members and a lot of new members.
The play was about a clothing store that is just closing when a crate with a mannequin is wrongly delivered. After the shopkeeper and the security guard lock up, some hijinks ensue.
“My favorite part is Danny’s arms coming off and the mannequins having to freeze and unfreeze,” Ms. Hryckowian said.
This year’s play is different from previous ones. In the past few years, the plays have been split into short segments, but this year, it was a longer play with only one quick break for a set change.
