As the school year gets closer to an end, students are getting more and more excited for summer break and its many activities. Summer break lets students truly relax and spend time with their friends and family. It also lets them participate in many events, games, activities, and summer camps.
“I’m excited to sit around and sleep and fix my sleep cycle,” Lorelei Carr (6) said.
During the summer, some places host camps for kids to learn and participate in activities. Some summer camp options include softball camps, Skybacher camps, cheer camps, baseball camps, Top Golf Camps, theatre camps, and band camps. More summer camps can be found online on Kidsburgh.org or other websites.
If you are not interested in going to a summer camp, there are still many other activities you can participate in and places you can visit, such as Kennywood, Sandcastle, Waladameer, Disney, Universal, going to the beach, going to the swimming pool, Ocean City, camping, golfing, fishing, going on road trips, hiking, visiting a museum, having a barbeque in the park, or riding bikes.
“[My favorite things to do during Summer break are] hanging out with friends and family and sleeping,” Angielee Monroy-Hernandez (6) said.
Even while at home, there are fun things to do, some ideas are picking flowers, reading a book, making arts and crafts, playing video games, baking or cooking, watching movies, listening to music, having a water balloon fight, or calling with friends.
