This year, more and more substitutes have come to our school to help further educate students.  A lot of substitute teachers have left this year, which is more than in previous years. Some teachers have had to sub in for other teachers. Sometimes they would do that before, but because of the slight shortage of substitutes, it has been happening more frequently.

There are multiple new substitutes that have come this year. Some substitutes that have come this year include Ms. Copeland and Ms. Mascher. There is a wide range of when substitutes come to sub for our school. Some substitutes come almost every day, while others come once a month. 

“Depending on the substitute, some can be good, while others should not be substituting for that subject,” Aubrey Capehart (6) said. 

Substitutes are very important to a lot of schools and people. A lot of classrooms have teachers who leave frequently to travel or to attend something they need to go to. During that time, there is usually a substitute watching the classroom. Sometimes another free teacher will have to come substitute for the teacher.
