Veterans Day is a very important holiday. It is where families and friends gather and have fun and parades, and more importantly, is a very special day to recognize and thank our veterans. Veterans Day also has a significant history behind why we celebrate such a holiday.

The history of Veterans Day is very important. Veterans Day started when the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars”. Therefore,  November 11 was decided to be called, “Veterans Day”. Veterans day continued on and would be a day for parades, fun, and ceremonies to honor our Veterans.

Many people find Veterans Day to be very important. Mainly because Veterans Day is to honor the people who have fought for our country and those people are the main reason that we have all of the rights, and freedoms we do today.

“I feel that Veterans Day is very important because it honors the soldiers that have served in the military, and have risked their lives for our freedom and our country,” Noah Carney said.

Veterans Day is an all around great holiday, with lots of fun and games, and is a great day to show honor and respect to those who have served in the military, and do deserve respect for their good deeds.
