Hi, I’m Emme Borrelli and I am a writer for the Bulldog Barker. I am in seventh grade and I have been in Bulldog Barker for three years now. I love to draw, play sports, and hang out with my friends. I am looking forward to writing in this group and pretty much always have been. I am in band, I play the clarinet, and I am a writer for the newspaper. I also play softball and run cross country. When I grow up, I want to be either an FBI agent or a Private Detective. Two interesting facts about me is I am double jointed and I swam for eight years prior to this year. I quit because I wanted to try out different sports.

Do you love to tie-dye? Freedom Middle School is tie-dying house shirts. Mrs. Sara Miller and Miss Sara Heiman are in charge of it, along with the rest of the PAWS Core Team teachers. Miss Heiman said, “We wanted every kid in the school to be able to show their house colors, and so we thought a fun way to do that is to tie-dye in the different house colors. We thought as middle schoolers that everybody could handle that and it actually went really well. I think there weren't many major accidents, so it was a success. We were going for a tie-dye theme. We went with red tie-dye before and were continuing with the different house colors.” Last year the fifth graders rubber banded their shirts and the fourth grade teachers tie-dyed it. When fifth graders Klaire Evans and Juliet Pivik were asked what they liked about this year's tie-dye compared to last year's tie-dye, this is what they said. “You have a lot more freedom of what you get to do like patterns and sometimes colors. It’s a lot more hands on. So it makes it more fun.” Klaire Evans said. “You actually get to tie-dye the shirts, but last year all you got to do was rubber band it.” Juliet Pivik said.
