Trick-or-treating is a common activity that many people participate in every year. Some people go with family, and some people go with friends, but you may also wonder, how old is too old to trick-or-treat? Not everyone agrees on this, so here are what some students think.
“I’d say about sixth grade, I’d probably stop, but it’s different for everyone,” Tyson Satterwhite (7) said.
While there is no legal limit, some towns have their own limits for when you are considered too old, but no towns in Beaver County have a limit.
“Sixteen, because you get cool around 16,” Lincoln Hoover (7) said.
I personally think that if you are going on your own, around 20 would be a good age to stop, but if you were to be going with family or friends, you can go at whatever age, but in reality, just stop whenever you feel like it.
“I think there like probably there isn’t really a limit, but realistically, I’d say around 20,” Isaac Mattern (7) said.
Only four countries actually trick or treat. They are America, Canada, Ireland, and the U.K.
“I feel like there is [no age limit], because old grandpas go trick-or-treating with their grandchildren,” Tyler McKee (7) said.
Halloween originally started around 2000 years ago, when people painted their faces and wore animal skins to scare off evil spirits.
“17, because it’s too old…” Shane Duncan (8) said.
A large group of people have actually never been trick-or-treating because of the small number of countries that actually trick-or-treat.
