The 2025 season of boys and girls soccer comes to an end. August through September, both of the soccer teams practiced hard and played to the best of their ability, but unfortunately, they only won one game.
“I got closer with a friend from another school because I don’t get to see her that often,” Lilian Mehaffie (7) said.
“I think that if we had like one more year as a team, we could have so much potential, but given that we had not really that much time together as a whole, our team wasn’t the best,” McKenna Kalinoski (8) said.
Their winning game was unexpected. Both boys and girls teams were ready and excited for a scrimmage at practice, but then got a call saying that the South Side co-ed team was down at the field, ready to play a game. Girls and boys rustled through a pinnie bag and put on a red pinnie, and played a fantastic game. The score was very close. It was 3 to 2.
”I think we definitely got better as a team, and we made a lot of friendships during the season,” Lincoln Hoover (7) said.
