The science conference was in the high school on May 4. All of Ms. Ging’s honors math class had a presentation. Everyone who is taking physics, whether it’s physics 1, 2, or 3, is also doing a presentation.
“I always had kids who did a project every year, except for one year when I had my knee operated on. Actually, anybody can do this, but you have to come up with your own unique plan that you’re gonna do and then follow through with that. We have a second grader this year, Ms. Fontaine’s daughter, she’s going to be presenting. My own children have come from Montour and presented.”
So anyone who wants to attend science conference can join and present. The school started the science conference eight years ago, and every year, lots of people work on projects to present in front of dozens of people who are also doing projects. When the science conference started, Ms. Ging would usually have five or six kids volunteer to present. One year, there were 12 kids, and after that, she ended up bringing the whole class.
