Our school recently had a spring Book Fair from March 31 to April 3. This year, it was in the library instead of the usual spot in the conference room. There was a scheduling conflict in the conference room.
“I think it’s giving students an opportunity to be able to have books that aren’t just library books,” Mrs. Heiman, librarian, said.
All around the school, students carry books from the book fair. One of the most popular books bought was Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. Mrs. Heiman hopes the students are reading them.
“Hopefully, it’s encouraging them to read more,” Mrs. Heiman, the librarian, said.
Some people who don’t like books buy gadgets, like school supplies and pointers.
“I think some kids tend to try to purchase those instead of books,” Mrs. Strati, sixth-grade ELA teacher, said. Mrs. Strati doesn’t like that kids buy the gadgets.
