This year’s middle school baseball team has been practicing for a few weeks now. They practice in the high school and at Beaver County Sports Zone.
“We have been working on the fundamentals in all phases of the game. Making sure we can make the routine play consistently well. I think the thing we need to work on the most is batting. We have good batters, but this is an area that you just need to get a lot of reps in to be great at it,” Matt Brown, head coach, said.
During their one to two hour practices, they work on a lot of fundamentals and mechanics to make sure he has a strong team this season.
The head coach, Matt Brown, has high hopes for this year’s team.
“I am excited about the season and seeing how the boys do. We have been practicing hard since the beginning of February, and we will have tough competition this year, but I think we are ready,” Brown said.
The team has already played games this season and they did well. For their first game, they lost 7-12 against Central Valley. Then their second game they won 8-0, which is amazing. Make sure you wish the baseball team good luck for their games to come!
