Recently, there has been a measles outbreak in 11 counties in West Texas and in 38 cases in east New Mexico. Measles is a highly contagious disease that kills over 100,000 people globally, mostly young children. The disease is a threat to children, babies, and pregnant women. There have been 292 reported cases as of March 17. Recently, there has been a case of measles in Oklahoma that is linked to Gaines County, Texas. According to USA Today, the disease killed a school-aged child. It was the first death of measles in a decade.

According to the New York Tines, U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy came up with a cod liver oil treatment and he said Texas doctors have seen “very, very, good results.”
