Mr. Jim Gregg was the art teacher at the middle school since 2005. Mrs. Kaylee Haggerty, the high school art teacher, took a new job in October, so Mr. Gregg is moving up to the high school.
“I am excited about it, I am looking forward to experiencing high school students,” said Mr. Gregg, former middle school art teacher.
“Mr. Gregg was one of my favorite teachers. He was always kind and had good intentions. I’m sad that I’m not in the high school with him, but it was his choice, so I respect it,” Logan Tatko, a sixth-grade student, said.
“Yes, I do like Mr. Gregg because he is fun, funny, and chill. I don’t know how I feel about him going to high school,” Blake Lundy, a sixth-grade student said.
“I love teaching middle school students, it is very interesting to watch an artist grow and change from fifth grade to eighth grade,” Mr. Gregg said. Mr. Gregg was a good art teacher to many people, mostly because he would help us, but also partially because he would tell us about history and other things. Although most of us enjoyed him, when you’re at the high school be welcoming, and down at the middle school, we should welcome the new art teacher, Ms. Rogers.
“Mr. Gregg had lots of artistic skills. He was wonderful with our kids, working with our students. Some of our kids struggled to come out of their shells to use their artistic skills, to express themselves. He was at the middle school a long time. I think he’s been at the middle school as long as I’ve been at the middle school. I don’t know exactly how long. A long time. Oh always, every time we had an art project Mr. Gregg would help a lot. Things like our Urban mural, ocean expert, and the fish, consulted with kids and helped them. He actually would help me every year when my kids were little, to make Halloween costumes.” Ms. Ging, sixth grade teacher said.
