This girls’ basketball season has been good so far. The team only had two seventh graders on the team, so they couldn’t have two separate teams. The team struggles with this because other teams have separate teams for seventh and eighth grade, but we had to combine both teams in one. Our girls have won two games, but they improve every game. They won against South Side away on Nov. 14 and they also beat Carlynton at Freedom Area Middle School on Nov. 19. As the season goes on the girls try their hardest to win games. Coach Terry Fullen is coaching the Middle School girls’ team this year.
“I am so glad we have improved throughout the season,” Sophia Bruce, an 8th grade girls basketball player, said.
