As we know, the middle school hired two new teachers this nine weeks. The seventh and eighth grade has not had an ELA teacher and Mrs. Edder has been filling in. This month, we finally hired a permanent teacher, Mr. Jonathan Dodd.
Mr. Dodd has been teaching for eight years. He has taught sixth and seventh grade ELA. One of his favorite things about teaching here are his coworkers and the students. Mr. Dodd felt that the school had a good reputation and he had a great first impression.
“One of the biggest challenges coming nine weeks already into the school year is just getting to know the students and how they work,” stated Mr. Dodd.
Mr. Gregg has also moved to the high school. The district hired Ms. Amber Rogers as the new art teacher. Ms. Rogers has been teaching for four years. One of her favorite parts about working here is doing art with the students.
“One of the challenges with teaching nine weeks into the school year is jumping right into the middle of a project and also just getting used to how kind and polite the kids are,” explained Ms. Rogers.
