Some people work with robots, but what can you do with them? Some time in April, students from several schools nearby will come with their programmed friends and fight other robots.
This year, on April 11, the event was held. This event has been going on for 8 years, and our school has always hosted. This year’s contestants from our school are Eli Bruce, Kaylee Anderson, Mila bair, Lincoln Murphy, Lucas Miller, Lucas Verosky, Lucia Haney, Lincoln Hoover, Cooper Valko, Shane McGowan, and Wyatt Miller.
Robo Sumo can also be an opportunity for the smaller kids to come and watch, while also learning.
“I think the students have learned a lot,” Dr. Whitworth, 3rd grade teacher, stated. “ We have the Spheros, and they have made connections.” It is always fun to see what people can do with robots.
