This is the first time in about four years that Freedom has had a Middle School softball team. The team has been having practices two to three times a week, for about two to three hours. Games started the last week of March and the last game will be during the first week of May due to many of their games getting canceled, due to rain.
The team progressed a lot in the season. Their first game they lost 1-19 but when they played the team again they lost 1-16. There fielding and batting got a lot better as well. Towards the end of the season more people started getting hits and getting on base to where at the beginning of the season players were barely getting hits and there fielding wasn’t the best.
