Have you ever heard of the Braille Apprentice Award? Well, Aiden Holsinger won this award. Holsinger attended the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind Children and participated in one of their Braille reading challenges.
“First, we got to read Braille; after that, we wrote some Braille. Then we ate some lunch and returned in time for the ninth period. There was a group at a table that I went against. Before the challenge, we practiced reading and writing braille,” Holsinger said.
Holsinger’s aide, Ms. Crystal Adkins and Mrs. Deb Miller, a vision specialist, accompanied him to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind. This event took place on January 29.
