This year a change was made to the principal’s 100 passes. This year there are only 100 Principal’s 100 cards being given out throughout the whole period of the school year instead of there being 200 to be handed out. The reason for this is because the PAWS team decided they wanted to only have a certain number of passes and only give them to the selected 100 students throughout the whole year.

This is so the teachers have more time to see that four students a week will receive a Principal’s 100 card. It is also beneficial to the PAWS team since there are only 100 students. At the end of the year there is going to be one big party to celebrate those selected 100 students. Another reason why the team changed it is because it is called the Principal’s 100, and there are only supposed to be 100 passes since 100 is in the original name.The PAWS team though it would be better to just make 100 as well to because  they thought its just better to only focus on 100 people to give passes to instead of  200.

“The reason why we changed it is because over the summer me and the PAWS team had a meeting about only doing 100 PAWS Principal’s 100 cards instead of 200 this year. I think this is really beneficial because I can actually have time to see what students are working hard on instead of rushing and just trying to make it to 200 within the period of the school year,” Mr. Griffith, Principal, said.

In all, the PAWS team decided it would be best and it gives students the opportunity to still win prizes  and go to parties at the end of the year to celebrate those people through their hard work during the school year.
