Did you sign up for the middle school softball team, but you were not able to play? That is because this year there were not enough girls who signed up to play. This is now the 3rd year in a row, but did you know that if you have a 2010 birthday you can play for 12u rec?

This year only seven people signed up for the middle school team and you need to have nine or more girls to sign up. As of right now the 12u team only has one girl who signed up to play for the Middle School team.

“I think that is pretty good that we have a seventh grader because then there would not be enough girls. I think that this year our team we will be pretty decent because we have all newer girls who are pretty good,” Jordyn Moehrle, sixth grader, said.

Brooke Sarvey and Jordyn Moehrle are the only pitchers up to High School. So after this year’s 12th graders, the teams will not have any pitchers. This year for the 12u team it is looking like there are going to be a lot of new players.

“I am looking forward to playing softball because I have always wanted to play but couldn’t because of gymnastics,” 6th grader Kylie Dambach states. This year the games will start in late April and end sometime in June.

“I am pretty excited for the season because it is my first year and all of my friends are playing and I am excited to hopefully make more friends,” 6th grader, Abby Tedesco, said. Hopefully, next year will have a team for the seventh and eighth graders to play! And we are always looking forward to new players!
