The last 7th grade basketball season ended “pretty” good. This season, Coach John Mohrbacher hopes each player improves and learns more about basketball and ends the season with players becoming ready for high school basketball.

“I hope to balance in fun and learning and improving in basketball. Just hoping that the 7th can come together and go to the next level,” Mr. Mohrbacher, 7th grade boys basketball coach, said after being asked about his hopes for the season.

The 7th grade team’s main goal seems to be to win against Hopewell. This could be a challenge for the team, since in the last game with Hopewell came out on top with — points. Other than that, the 7th graders want to improve on their passes, defense, and lay-ups. The team members who were questioned also agreed they should listen to the coach more.

The 8th grade team wants to win the rest of their games and get double digit wins, with their wins to losses now being 7-3. The three players asked about their goals and ways they want to improve all said they wanted to improve on how they score, from three pointers to lay-ups, and for one on their shot form.

“If they keep working hard, are disciplined and work together they might be one of the best teams to go through Freedom,” Coach Noah Spanos said.
