In Loving Memory of Ms. Michelle Witt
February 14, 2022
Yvonne Michelle Witt was a Freedom custodian. Born on June 3, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Delores B. Witt. She attended Ohioville Christian Assembly Church. She usually worked the night shift at Freedom making the school clean and sanitary. She mainly worked in the High School but sometimes substituted for Ms. Nancy in the middle school or Ms. Sarah in the elementary school. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Freedom Bulldogs.
“Ms. Witt was a lot of fun to talk with and we exchanged Christmas gifts throughout the years,” Mr. Gregg, art teacher, said. “She made really great peanut brittle. We also shared countless laughs, she had a great sense of humor. I’d like to share that she was also one of the kindest people that I have worked with, she cared about every student at Freedom and would always ask me about how the students were. She always had a kind word whenever she saw our middle school students, she will be missed.”
“She was a friend and a co-worker,” Ms. Nancy, Freedom custodian, said. “[I loved] working the summers with her. [If I could say one more thing to her] it would be ‘I love you sister’.”
